local fairs and bazaars every weekend from Saturday 9th. Halesworth Lights Switch-On takes place on Saturday
23rd, Southwold's on Saturday 30th. Those taking part in Southwold's Christmas Day swim
can register from November 4th-December 23rd (or on site on 25th). Other
November events include an Auction of Promises at Halesworth Golf Club (15th), a Ceilidh at Reydon
(23rd) and a Quiz at Southwold (29th).

The Southwold Railway Trust – Open days at the Southwold Railway Steamworks project
The Southwold Railway was a 3-foot gauge line running between Halesworth and Southwold, a distance of almost 9 miles. Opened in 1879 and closed in 1929, it is remembered for its tall-chimneyed steam engines. The Steamworks project aims to restore this line.
