DESCRIPTION:Model yacht sailing has been taking place in Southwold for
over 125 years. Tremendous fun, which is very easy to get the
hang of. All ages and abilities can join in. Anyone is welcome
to come and have a go at sailing – we can even lend you a
boat for the day (please book in advance) and show you what to
do.
Today, morning races from 10:15am and afternoon races
from 2pm. Featuring a regular programme of races, with
afternoon Championships, for each qualifying boat in their
class – according to age of sailor and length of boat, with
knockout heats and final, the Nigel Boult Trophy and the
Waveney Shield. Also this afternoon The Commodore’s
Invitation Race. See SMYR website for details. Next, and
final, Regatta 20th August.

Ticket Details: No club membership requirement. Small charge to pre-book a club boat to borrow for one regatta, or come and spectate.
